at HatchOne we define + design
What is the look and feel of your company? Of your products? Who are the users? Who are your competitors? How do you communicate your product goals to your design team? To your suppliers? HatchOne defines.
What is the company logo? What emotion should it communicate? What is the brand color palette? What is the product architecture? Will the electronics stay cool enough? How does the product get assembled? What materials should be used? How will the parts be manufactured? HatchOne designs.
Kim Porter
Kim knew at a young age that she wanted to design products inspired by humans. She carries a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Science and Mechanics, with an emphasis in Biomedical Engineering from Iowa State University. Early in her career she worked on designs for NASA spacesuits at ILC Dover and footwear in Nike’s first engineering lab. Kim’s extensive experience with product design and engineering includes work with Starbucks, Nike and Intel which were just a few of her clients during her tenure at Ziba Design. Kim founded HatchOne to apply her strategic thinking and engineering strengths to the entrepreneurial arena. HatchOne helps cool people get great products to market and specializes in productizing innovative concepts that save companies money and time.

And I paint
I paint! I prefer oil, but have been dabbling in watercolor for the last decade.
Painting is like designing products. The best results are when the right and left brain are balanced and in flow.
